Refurbishment of the Village Hall
During the summer of 2021 the village hall underwent extensive refurbishment. The facilities which include a catering kitchen with range cooker, appliances including a commercial dishwasher and serving hatch to the main hall, and small tea kitchen. Mens, ladies and disabled toilets have all been completely refurbished, the disabled toilet now meets full complaince.
The refurbishment project was possible thanks to the kind funding from other providers, which include the Suffolk County Council Cllr S Burroughes, East Suffolk District Councillor M Cook, Adnams towards the new lights in the main hall, BCC, Enterprise Badingham, Badingham Quiz nights, Waitrose, and residents donations.
More recently we have carried out work on the guttering and drainage, following water ingress during particularly heavy rain.
The outside space at the rear of the hall has been transformed from a play school play area to a herb garden with seating, thanks to grants from the National Lottery, and Field to Fork.
The inside space has been acoustically treated to reduce the echo which made it a noisy environment, thanks to a grant from East Suffolk Community Partnerships.
